Delivery and siting
At My Static Caravan, our own caravans marked free delivery are delivered free to anywhere within 100 miles of our site in Babcary, Somerset. Delivery is kerb to kerb: we bring the caravan to the roadside at your address. Siting, which means unloading the caravan on to its base, positioning it and levelling it, is not included, and we quote for it on request. Further afield, we deliver anywhere in the UK and quote before you commit.
Free delivery: what is included
Free delivery applies to our own caravans whose listing says free delivery. It does not apply to caravans sold by private sellers.
The 100 miles are measured along real roads from our site in Babcary, TA11 7DS, the way the low loader will actually travel, not in a straight line on a map.
Free delivery is kerb to kerb. We bring the caravan by low loader from our site to the roadside at your address, as close as the lorry can safely get. Siting, which means unloading the caravan on to its base, positioning it and levelling it, is not included, and we quote for it on request. Connecting the services is never included, because a qualified specialist must make each connection for safety.

Siting: always extra
The caravan needs a level base, usually concrete and sometimes piers, and services brought to it: water, waste, electricity and gas if it uses it. Delivery is kerb to kerb: we bring the caravan to the roadside at your address, as close as the lorry can safely get. Unloading it on to its base, positioning it and levelling it are not part of free delivery, and we can quote for them if you ask. Connecting the services is not included, and we do not do it, because a qualified specialist must make each connection for safety: a Gas Safe registered engineer for gas and a qualified electrician for electricity. We will advise on what is needed, and recommend people we trust, before you commit. The groundwork is normally done by a local groundworker before the caravan arrives.
Beyond 100 miles, or without free delivery
We arrange nationwide transport. For a caravan without free delivery, or a site further than 100 miles away, the cost depends on the distance, the size of the unit and the access at your end. You get the figure before you commit, and you are welcome to arrange your own delivery or collection.
What the lorry needs
A static caravan arrives on a low loader. The driver needs a clear route in, room to turn, and firm ground to work on. Overhanging branches, narrow gateways and soft verges are the three things that most often cause a problem on the day, and all three are easy to sort out in advance.
Buying from a private seller
A private seller’s caravan stands on their park, not with us. Delivery is arranged separately for each buyer, and free delivery does not apply.
